Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
It’ll be good to get some genuine competition for Antonio up top.

The whole concept of loans is a bit flawed... can't think of many that work out. Lingard last season and Defoe at Bournemouth back in the day but, as with Alex Kral, they are often seen as a cheap means of bolstering the squad. Unless the loanee gets a lucky break and plays particularly well then they are going to spend most of their time as a squad filler, especially the young ones.

Whoever is responsible for finding these kids loans or for authorising them needs firing.

Been some inept loaning out in the last 5 years.

That takes me back to the clamour on here for us to sign Rhodes.

Yeah he was pretty average and Spurs were hawking the bloke round for 1.5m to anyone that would take him. Injury crisis, gets a chance and now we have to tolerate the prick banging them in every week. A super rare turn of events but it does happen. However Mipo aspires to looking average at the moment, currently the best he's managed is 'insipid'.

Coventry's loan not working out doesn't necessarily mean he's shit, may have just not suited Peterborough and how they were setting up. See the example below about Kane's loan at Norwich.

May only have been pre-season, but he looked more than comfortable in our side. Hope he gets a chance, could potentially take Noble's place in the squad next season.

Coventry and Alves have both had their loans ended as well.

Can't see Coventry getting game time ahead of Kral (unless Kral's loan is cut short - which i can't see happening). He may get on the bench v Leeds and then out on loan again to somewhere that will actually play him!

I remember seeing Kane on loan at Norwich and I said he will never make it at the top level! Still plenty of time for Mipo to develop.

Re: Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
I still remember his first game last season. He looked completely overwhelmed with playing in the first team, wasn’t even doing the basics like closing down and making runs.

No way near ready mentally, few more loans and 1st team experience before Moyes will play him.

Re: Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
Probably called him back because Huddersfield weren’t playing him…. Why send him out on loan if he isn’t getting playing time?

Re: Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
He couldn't even get in the squad for Huddersfield's last few games but Faux Bare will have him in his line-up for West Ham from this weekend until he's released.

Happy to be proved wrong but the boy is not making it is he?

May have the ability but his mind is away, application is key, lad will be driving a Nissan Uber by the time he is 30 if not previously roped into all sorts of naughtiness and inside or having bought an allotment

Only made 6 substitute appearances for Huddersfield so hardly a defining career changing loan move for him

Re: Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
I thought we called him back due to game time and both parties agreed. He was up there due to Rhodes having an extended time out due to injury but was low in pecking order hence lack of game time. Rhodes is back now so no chance of game time now

Re: Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
I've seen the lad once, against Man United, where he looked like a deer in the headlights.

If he can't make an impact at Championship level for Huddersfield, he's going to be much use to us.

Maybe sell him with a hefty sell on clause to an Orient or Charlton in case he improves.

Re: Mipo recalled from loan spell at Huddersfield
by all accounts not up to it at Huddersfield and plenty questioning his hunger and desire for the game , without that i doubt he will have much of a future under Moyes at our club .
